One of our Local SEO clients is a skincare boutique in Chicago. They started out with one location and have been bearing the brunt of COVID shutdowns since we started working with them in 2020. Their site also hosts an online shop for skin care products. They hired us to help expand their presence on Google search results and to show up for local, neighborhood searches in their community. Along with monitoring Google Business Profile (GBP) stats, we also tracked organic website traffic to give us a well-rounded view of how their site is doing.

Our Local SEO approach

Our local SEO efforts, paired with the company’s overall great customer service, inclusive space and quality services, helped to drive their traffic upwards. On our end, we executed a variety of processes to ensure their business information was accurately distributed on the web. 

  • Set up their GBP with an accurate business name, address, phone number and hours according to Google’s guidelines. 
  • Added appropriate services to their Google profile so potential users can easily understand their offerings directly from Google search results.
  • Submitted their business information and website to the top local SEO aggregators and directories — Yelp, YellowPages, Bing, etc.
  • Worked on manually creating citations for their business.
  • Consulted with the business so they could build a location page on their website to represent their newest location.
  • Monitored their local SEO progress using BrightLocal and Google Data Studio.
  • Optimized Google business profile posts for both of their locations.
